June was a busy month!

June started off with Marc and Kailan fixing our truck so it would be ready for our big trip to Disneyland and Pismo beach. We had a blast hanging out with family, riding four-wheelers, and camping on the beach!

Kailan got coached from her daddy and papa on how to ride the four-wheeler. Let's just say she's not ready for competition yet :)

Kailan was star struck when she met the Princesses, which was the highlight of her trip. She also enjoyed riding Pirates of the Carribean, she rode it 3 times and wanted to go more but we wanted her to see other things too :)

Spring Break 2011

This spring break we got to hang out with some family members and go hiking in one of our family's favorite spots.

I just love her litte butt.

We also got a lot of jump time in. Kailan loves going out on the trampoline, and at night we've been going outside to look at the moon and the stars. Too much fun!

Dumont for Marc's Birthday!

Dumont just wouldn't be the same without a 4' deep hole and 4-wheeler riding! We had so much fun on Marcs birthday weekend (aka superbowl). We had good friends with us, good food, and just a great time all together!

For Christmas every year we go to Beaver mountain and get our trees, sled, and have sloppy joes. It's a Raines family tradition that I look forward to every year!

Pregnant again!

So I am pregnant again, and according to the Dr. I am due around September 6. So far I feel okay as long as I am eating anything unhealthy. This is so frustrating to me! I'm not the healthiest or skinniest person around but I am pround of the fact that I am (was) an avid excersizer, and semi-healthy eater. For the past 3 weeks though I've been exhausted and food that doesn't have a high enough fat% makes me feel awful. Whats a girl to do? With my first pregnancy I could eat anything and I gained only 27 lbs. the entire pregnancy, I ran until I was 5 months along and felt great. Not this time around, I can't make time to to work out and I can't eat enough to feel well. So Frustrating!!!

Repair GE Front Load Washer leak

My GE front load washer started leaking a couple months ago out of the front left side, and after serveral attempts calling GE for solutions (one lady at GE even told me to unplug the entire machine to "reset" it, weird) and not enough money to have a repair man come out my husband finally had enough time to take the thing apart and figure out the problem, I knew he went to engineering school for a reason!

The tensioner on the inner seal of the boot came loose allowing water to seap between the boot and tub. He cleaned the boot, it was covered in hard water deposits, and reinstalled it with the tensioner tightened. So far no problems. Hope this helps you if you have the same problem. Two hours later and atleast $80 saved our washer is back in business, thanks babe!

So it took a little while to obtain a building permit after we broke ground but things are finally starting to move. We got the plumbing in and covered! Hopefully today we'll get concrete and by the end of this week we should be all framed up! I'm super excited and cacn't even believe that we will finally be getting our own place!

Marc found this cute old house when he was out surveying, so he took me there to see it and take pictures. It was so old that it didn't have any floor or roof, it was just made from these sandstone bricks. It was awesome, I can't believe people used to build like that.

How cute is this, Daddy helping his little girl walk on our property after the plumbing was put in. Priceless!

We have been having so much fun lately fishing, swimming and hiking with Kailan but I forget my camera every single time, I will remember next time I hope so we can share our fun with you. On another note,Kailan is pulling herself up on EVERYTHING and she is so close to taking her first steps. It is so fun to watch her learn, everything is so fresh and new to her, I Love it!

2 Month Check Up

Kailan went to the doctor today for her 2 month check up. She is growing perfect, 10 pounds 15 ounces and 23 1/2 inches long. She is in the 50th % for weight and 80th % for hieght. Kailan did so well getting her shots also, she only cried for about 15 seconds. She is getting to be so big!

This is all she has done all day long. I'm just hoping tonight will be the same way.

Wow is all that I can say for how much work it is to be a mom. I can't believe how tiring it is! Kailan has changed a lot in the week that we've had her home. Marc and I are still trying to figure out this parenting thing, the daytime isn't too bad. It's the night time that is brutal. But no matter how tired we get it's all okay when she looks into our eyes with her big blues!

Easter Weekend In California

We had so much fun seeing family in California. We got to hang out with Kari, Rob, and Carter, and we also got to see Marc's family from Oklahoma. My favorite part was watching Marc try to surf in the freezing cold water. We also got to go to the L.A. Zoo and the City Walk at Universal Studios.

Since we updated our blog last nothing has really happened. I am however 13 weeks pregnant, neither Marc or I look pregnant yet though. We got to hear the babies heart beat on Monday and it sounded perfect so I guess its for real, it wasn't the flu, we're going to be parents.

We go up to Beaver Mountain every year to get Christmas Trees. Ours are always pretty little, but Santa always seems to find enough room to leave something special underneath.

Everyone likes to ride with Marc, because he's so crazy. Thank goodness we're all alive still.

Goliath loves to prance around in the snow like he's the king of the forrest, until he gets cold. Then he likes to find a nice warm place to cuddle up and fall asleep. I can't blame him, I do the same thing.
We're always keeping the fire going!

All of the little kids look like little marshmallows when they are in their snow suits. Taya was too puffy to play and walk herself so I got to help her out!

Deer Hunt 2007

We had so much fun at deer hunt this year. It was chilly, dusty, and we haven't got the deer yet, but it was all worth it!

This is us on the 4 wheeler out searching for da 30 point buck. We'll have to keep searching.

Everybody had a turn shooting "The Red Ryder" Those poor beer cans and bottles didn't stand a chance. Even Rylie and Jayden shot the cans and bottles. Something about the yota is so much fun. I haven't figured it out yet. But Rylie and Jayden have. They get to play in the back everytime we go camping together.
I got to play with Taya a lot this trip and so did Marc. Taya is my little niece who is the best baby ever. She didn't get to shoot the red ryder. Maybe next year.

This was Belize. It was a blast! Marc and I were able to go scuba diving for our first time in open waters. We got to do a lot of snorkeling and even saw an ancient Mayan ruin.
Kari and Rob came with us on the trip. It was nice to have them to hang out with.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica was an amazing adventure for us. We went in 2005 and had a great time. We hiked a lot and swam even more,

and by the end of the trip relaxing was just the right thing!
